Legendary wrestler, John Cena stunned fans when he got down on one knee to propose to Nikki Bella, his longtime girlfriend and wrestling partner, in front of thousands of spectators.  The proposal happened in the middle of the ring at Wrestle Mania after Cena and Bella beat The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match  on Sunday . 21-year-old UK born Nigerian Mo Adeniran was last night crowned the winner of the The Voice UK 2017 during the show’s finale. Mo, who works night shifts at a hotel, beat other contestants with his rendition of Iron Sky which had the judges turning their chairs. His victory left him in shock while his mentor, Jennifer Hudson, burst into tears of joy. “Thank you everyone at home, I just want to say thank you to Jennifer and all the coaches. An amazing thank you to the most phenomenal person I have ever met, thank you Jennifer,” Mo said after he was announced winner. Mo also won a record deal with Polydor Records and the company congratulated him via their Twitter account which read as follows;                           “CONGRATS TO @imjustcalledmo FOR WINNING THE VOICE UK! A United States Air Force dog, Jony, serving with the 20th Security Forces Squadron, has retired after nine years, (68 dog years) of distinguished service. Jony’s retirement was announced by the U.S. Department of Defence. Pentagon said in a statement, that Jony retired due to a compressed disc in his spine, and has been permanently put in the hands of its handler, Air Force Staff, Sergeant Anthony Despins, a military dog handler, who met Jony as his first canine partner in 2012. Pentagon said, “Together, the two used their individual skill sets to make a formidable team, eventually becoming certified as an explosives detection and patrol unit to keep people around the world safe and their fellow airmen out of harm’s way.” Pentagon further quoted Despins as saying that “Jony was really excited, always happy to see people and very energetic. “Even back then, Jony knew what was expected of him and how to do his job. “Jony’s performance during his initial...

A Nigerian pilot identified as Ademilola Odujinrin, has made history by becoming the first African pilot to complete a solo flight around the world. Odujinrin completed the final leg of his historic trip on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, after landing safely at the Washington Dulles International Airport, where he had started the first leg on his trip in September, 2016. Odujinrin who is a pilot of Air Djibouti, embarked on the second leg of his historic flight, on October 14, 2016, when he flew to Malta, enroute to Djibouti.   Odujinrin flew around in a Cirrus SR22 aircraft, stopping over in over 15 countries across 5 continents. Odujinrin's historic flight was part of a Project Transcend foundation's move, which they hope would inspire young people to achieve their goals, irrespective of the circumstances they find themselves in. Maori Tezuka , a former opera singer who made her debut in Japan's 'silver porn' industry at 71 has called it a quit after 9 years.   Tezuka's decision was partly on a lack of red-blooded ' Lotharios ' able to keep up with her. Once the lights go on, you just do your best,' she told local media. 'I have no regrets, but shooting became difficult when the actor wasn't my type,' she added. She, however, consider a possible return in two or three years to come. 'It was never about the money for me. Is unknown to many people that there is a town in the U.S. that banned cars in the late 1890s. Mackinac Island , located in Lake Huron, between the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan, is completely car-free since 1898. The small island is only about 8 miles around and lies in the Straits of Mackinac. The island's name is French and has retained its French pronunciation till date. The small island is home to only around 500 people but that number usually increases to 15,000 during tourism season. Is not new that transportation on Mackinac island is limited to walking, horse-drawn carriages, and bicycling. Hope you are not surprise?

In the first visit by a Saudi ruler in almost half a century, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud arrived in Indonesia today for a nine-day tour of the world's most populous Muslim nation.  The King will spend a few days in Jakarta,the capital city, and West Java before heading to the popular tourist island of Bali on the Indonesian leg of a month-long Asia tour that's already taken him to Malaysia and which will also see him going to China, Japan and the Maldives.  Here goes the gist! Adji Gunawan, the president of airport services company PT Jasa Angkasa Semestar confirms that the King will be traveling with 459 metric tons of luggage . According to Indonesian news agency Antara, King Salman is traveling with no less than 1,500 people including 10 ministers , 800 delegates and 25 princes who traveled to Indonesia in 36 different flights over a period of three weeks. Waoh!!! what a luxury travel/visit.

The oldest living Italian nun celebrated her 110th birthday on Monday, February 20th.The faithful sister named Candida Bellotti, who has lived through two world wars, ten popes and 57 prime ministers, shared some tips for anyone hoping for anyone to live an equally long life.   The nun was born in  the year 1907,  Verona Italy, and first became a nun in 1931, joining the order Ministre degli infermi di San Camillo and working as a nurse in hospitals and care homes across the country. In the year 2000, at the age of 93, the nun moved to the motherhouse of the convent, where she takes an active part in community life and is known for her lively and joyful attitude. She celebrated the milestone of reaching 110 with other members of the order and the Bishop of Lucca, Italo Castellani, while Pope Francis sent his birthday wishes. The pontiff participated spiritually in the shared joy of the happy anniversary, sending deep congratulations and heartfelt wishes.Sister Candida ...

Earlier in the month, we heard that Adolf Hitler's telephone, recovered from the Fuhrerbunker and kept in a box at an English country house since 1945, will be sold at auction in the United States. Well, the phone has now been sold. It was sold on Sunday February 19, 2017 ,that's yesterday, for the sum of $243,000. The winning bid was made by phone but the name of the bidder has not been released. The phone was presented to Hitler by the Wehrmacht and was used by the Nazi leader to issue most of his commands during the last two years of World War II, according to a description in the catalog for Alexander Historical Auctions in Maryland.
